Rewatch: Drishyam(2013)

Still engaging!

I still remember the days when I first watched this movie. That year, all of Mohanlal’s films were flops. Drishyam was released without any hype, and the rest is history. I watched it at Changanacherry Abhinaya, and it gave me one of the greatest theater experiences ever. I finally understood what a true edge of your seat thriller feels like. I was literally on the edge of my seat during the car drenching scene, the one where Sahadevan says, “He will look back if he has fear,” and so on absolutely thrilling. The climax walk still gives me goosebumps. Peak level script. Even though the making and some actors’ mid level performances were the negatives of Drishyam, it was still a great experience.
